Welcome! My name is Jenny Eden. I am the creator of EdenKnowsImplants.com, and I'm so excited you are taking the first step to learning more about breast augmentation!
I still remember all the emotions I was feeling when I finally decided to consider getting breast implants.
I hadn't been happy with my breasts for years, and it wasn't until finding out that my friend Mary had implants that I decided to learn more about them.. I was excited, fearful, even a little bit embarrassed—and I had SO many questions.
I began my research, but then I ran into a problem: information overload. After spending a few days looking around the internet for help, I remember telling my husband:
"Learning about breast implants feels like trying to drink from a fire hose!"
That's exactly why I've created this site. You've made an extremely courageous decision to take a step toward getting an augmentation, and I want this to be a simple and enjoyable process for you.
My hope is that everything on this site helps you decide what's best for you and leaves you feeling confident and empowered.
Let's dive in!
The Elephant in the Room
I want to start right out by debunking one of the weirdest myths about breast augmentation:
Strippers and pornstars aren't the only women on the planet who want to have bigger boobs. There. I said it.
In fact, using statistics straight from The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the most common woman who gets a breast augmentation is:
- In her mid-30's
- Married or in a longterm relationship
- And has a college education
In other words, there is absolutely nothing weird or shameful about wanting to get breast implants.
Did you know that the number one reason women get implants is to help boost their self confidence? (and 94% say they are happy with their decision!) In the United States alone, around 300,000 women a year get the procedure... I promise there aren't that many exotic dancers out there, so be proud of your decision to do something for yourself.
Now that I've given you the emotional pep talk, there's one more thing I want to make sure we talk about before getting into the more tangible aspects of breast augmentation...
Is The Risk Worth The Reward?
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." —Anais Nin
I'm not going to skirt the fact that there are risks involved with getting a breast augmentation. Even though less than a teaspoon of blood is lost during the procedure, it's still a legitimate surgery. Complications such as "capsular contracture" and "bottoming out" can also happen after the surgery.
I'm a bit of a hypochondriac, so it was helpful for me to know that 9 out of 10 augmentations are flawless and the ones that aren't are almost always able to be revised. But of course, like anything, you can find plenty of horror stories online with a quick Google search. I wasn't interested in unlikely, worst-case scenarios, so I'll leave it up to you if you want to go dig those up.
Ultimately, in the same way you decide to get on an airplane or drive a car, it's up to you to determine if the risks are outweighed by the rewards. Personally, the rewards have been exponentially greater than the risks, and you can watch my entire breast augmentation experience on YouTube:
Jenny Eden's "Boobie Steps"
One of the most common statements I found myself saying while I was learning about breast implants was, "I just wish there was a step-by-step plan for me to be following."
So that that's exactly what I have created for you, and I called them 7 Boobie Steps.
Let's look at the step-by-step path I recommend for women considering breast implants...
Step #1: Get Your Bearings
As you get started, it's completely normal to have a lot of questions or even feel overwhelmed.
That's why it's really important for you to relax and explore.
You don’t need all the answers right now, and it’s perfectly fine if you’re not even sure you want a breast augmentation. Take a deep breath and let it out. It’s your body, your timeline, and your decision.
To help you get started, I’ve removed all the noise and created a 30-day daily email series where I'll answer questions like:
- How much do breast implants cost?
- How long will they last?
- Will people be able to tell?
- What about breastfeeding?
- What's the difference in saline and silicone?
To sign up for my 30-day series on breast implants, simply enter your email address below!
Step #2: Get in Community
Do you know what Fear wants? Fear wants you to feel alone—like you're the only one who feels a certain way. But I’m here to tell you that you are surrounded by women just like you!
I know it seems like a silly idea, but Fear begins to lose it's power when we tell others about it... when we give it a name.
Above all else, Fear fears community.
That’s why it’s so important for you to join a community of women who are in the same boat as you are.
Ladies Only! » I want to invite you to my 100% private community for women who have or want breast implants…
It's called "Bustmob!"
At the end of the day, none of us want our nosey co-workers or mother-in-laws hearing all about our breast augmentation, right? That's why Bustmob is a completely secret Facebook group where:
- None of your current friends will ever be notified or be able to see that you've joined
- Your posts and photos are 100% private and only seen by other women in the group
- You will never have to worry about Instagram deleting your account or following all the crazy rules of a forum
To give you an idea of what it's like, here are some screenshots from Bustmob (names and faces have been blurred out):

Step #3: Choose Your Look
It's time to find your Boobie Guide!!
Wait, what's a Boobie Guide? A Boobie Guide is the woman who's breasts most closely mirror the look you want after getting an augmentation.
In other words, it's the woman you are going to show the surgeon during your consultation.
You might have heard these called "Boobie Idols" as well, but I think that's a really unhealthy name for them. It subconsciously creates an unrealistic comparison and expectation between one woman's boobs and yours.
Remember: Your Boobie Guide is a guide, not the holy grail. You are unique as an individual, and your augmentation will be as well!
To complete Step 3, select a cup size below and find your Boobie Guide!
Step #4: Find Your Surgeon
Finding the best surgeon for your augmentation can be one of the most stressful steps of getting breast implants. I've lived it... twice!
To help you get started, I've written an article called 3 Special Traits That All Great Surgeons Have...
Step #5: Set Your Date
After your consultation, it's time to set a date!
My husband thought it was silly for me to dedicate a whole step to something as small as picking a date. But I know how anxious (and exciting!) this time can feel. This is the tipping point!
This is the point where all of us either give in to our fears or overcome them.
It’s also important to time your procedure. You might not know this yet, but besides needing about a week to get through the biggest part of recovery, it will take 4 to 6 months for your breasts to "Drop and Fluff."
To help you, check out the infographic below to know when your girls will be looking their best after surgery!
To complete Step 5, call your surgeon and set your date!
Step #6: Protect Your Girls
Obviously, getting breast implants requires incisions and will cause your skin to quickly stretch...
What I'm about to tell you isn't meant to scare you, it's to help you be proactive! So here goes... Unfortunately, getting permanent scars and stretch marks on your breasts is a real possibility when getting implants.
That's why it's so important that you intentionally prevent scars and stretch marks.
The best way you can have extreme confidence in your results is to give your breasts everything they need to prepare for surgery and heal beautifully. That's exactly why I created my Breast Augmentation Recovery Kit.
There is nothing else like it available, and the feedback has been nothing short of incredible. It has been an absolute honor to get to play a role in so many women's recoveries :-)
To complete Step 6, protect your girls with highest rated recovery products on the market!
Step #7: Love Your Girls
Here are two unique ways for you to take good care of your girls after your augmentation!
Number One I'm so excited to announce a brand-new weekly email series featuring my favorite clothes for women with breast implants! This email series includes all of my favorite:
- Dresses and more!
To receive weekly emails containing my favorite clothes for women with breast implants, enter your email below!
Number Two The second way to take care of your girls is to give them the protection and nourishment they need on a daily basis.
Let's be honest, y'all... we can be hard on our implants!
That's why I've created a daily moisturizer specially formulated for women with breast implants, called Boobie Butter. It's the only product in the world like it, and I know you (and your girls!) are going to love it :-)
I hope these Boobie Steps have left you feeling empowered and ready to make the decisions that are right for you. If there is anything at all that I can do for you, please do no hesitate to contact me directly. I've also included several Frequently Asked Questions to help as well. Enjoy!
The Top 10 Questions I Get About Breast Implants
What is the total cost of breast augmentation?
The average cost of a breast implant procedure runs in the neighborhood of $3,500 to $4,000 (plus any miscellaneous and travel expenses). To avoid any surprises, I highly recommend you ask for a bottom line quote, in writing.
How long do breast implants last?
The most important thing to know is that breast implants are not meant to last forever. According to most surgeons, the majority of us can expect a solid 10 years from our augmentation before a redo starts becoming necessary.
How do breast implants affect breastfeeding?
I've got great news for you! 90% of women with breast implants have no troubles breastfeeding their baby. If breastfeeding is important to you, I suggest you request an incision site other than your areolar.
How can I minimize scarring after a breast augmentation?
The best way to minimize scarring is to use an all-natural scar cream like the one in my All-Natural Recovery Kit.
You should also wait at least one year before exposing your scars to the sun without some sort of heavy UV protection to avoid hyperpigmentation.
How long does it take to heal from a breast augmentation?
The initial healing process takes about a week. After 5 to 7 days, you will be back up and walking around as usual, but you'll still have quite a bit of swelling and tenderness. After a month or two, they will start feeling like a normal part of you, and you will be able to get back to the gym. For the entire healing process, including the slow process of "Dropping and Fluffing," you'll be looking at about 6 months.
What are the "Boobie Blues?"
Right after surgery, some women experience some regret or depression over getting breast implants. This is called the Boobie Blues, and it typically lasts about 2 days. It's perfectly normal and something you should be aware about so you don't freak out after your procedure.
Is it possible for my breast implants to explode?
If you mean "explode" as in "blow up," then no. Implants don't just detonate themselves at random, but of course it's possible for the silicone bag (on any type of implant) to develop a small tear. Depending on what kind of implant you have, your breast implant could be fully deflated in a matter of hours (saline) or you may never even know it happened (Gummy Bear).
What is the difference between silicone gel and gummy bear breast implants?
Silicone Gel implants are filled with a viscous silicone gel that feels very close to natural breast tissue. Gummy Bear implants are filled with highly-cohesive silicone gel and has a firmer feel than standard Silicone Gel implants. In the event of a rupture, Silicone Gel implants have a higher likelihood of leeching outside of the breast pocket.
What is Capsular Contracture and Bottoming Out?
Capsular Contracture is a medical term for when too much scar tissue forms around your breast implants, squeezing and distorting them. Bottoming Out is when the breast implant pocket fails and allows the implant to fall, causing the nipples to look too high.
Will I be able to workout after getting breast implants?
Absolutely! Just make sure to allow your breasts to heal for at least one month before resuming any type of high-intensity workout. I also recommend that you listen to your body and not to over do it on the amount of resistance you use on chest exercises.
